15 Days Uganda Safari

Day 1: Kampala City Tour
Our safari guide will pick you from the hotel for a Kampala city tour. During the tour you will be able to visit  interesting Tour places like; Kasubi tombs, Uganda Museum, the Parliament, Christian Cathedrals, Mosques, Markets and craft shops around town. Overnight at Sheraton Hotel (High end), Hotel Africana (Medium end) or Fair Way Hotel (Budget)

Day 2: Safari Journey to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast we shall drive North West of Kampala through Luwero triangle and stop at Masindi town for lunch. After lunch we shall proceed to the top of the falls where the world’s longest River Nile explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the rift valley escarpment into a frothing pool 43 meters below.
Thereafter we shall proceed to the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Murchison Falls Park at either Paraa Safari Lodge or Nile Safari Camp(High end), Sambiya River Lodge(Medium end) or Red Chilli Rest Camp(budget)

Day 3: Wildlife Tours in Murchison falls National Park
After breakfast we shall set off for an early morning game drive. Game in this park includes; Rothschild Giraffes, Elephants, Jackson Hartebeests, Lions, Waterbucks. We shall also see a variety of Savannah woodland birds. After lunch, we shall go for a launch cruise on the Nile to view hippos, crocodiles and other game at close proximity. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: The Albertine Rift Tour: Scenic Journey to – Fortportal
Depart from Murchison Falls after an early breakfast. Head for Fort Portal town for lunch. After lunch transfer to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Luxurious Ndali Lodge/Mid range Rwenzori View guest House/Basic Kanyanchu Tourist Centre.

Day 5: Semuliki National Park Tour
After Breakfast you will head for Semliki Park which is one of the richest safari parks of both Flora and Fauna in Africa. During the safari you will visit the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rainforest. You will have to carry our packed lunch boxes along with you. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred back to your safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: The Chimpanzee Tracking Tour in Kibale Tropical Rain Forest
After breakfast head to Kibale National Park for Chimp tracking. The activity starts at 8am. We will also expect to see a variety of other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black& white Colobus monkeys. After viewing the Chimps we shall have lunch. In the afternoon there is an option to visit Bigodi swamp or go to the crater lakes region on our way back to the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Ndali Lodge (high end), Fort Motel (medium end) or Rwenzori View Guest House (budget)

Day 7: Kibale Chimpanzee Forest – Queen Elizabeth
Early morning transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way to the park headquarters, expect elephants, lions, buffaloes, kobs, the Python, hyenas, warthogs, and birds. At either 15.00 or 17.00 hrs we shall take a boat cruise along Kazinga Channel, to view a variety of yawning hippos, Crocodiles and plenty of bird species. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge (High end) Or Mweya Hostel (budget).

Day 8: Wildife Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast you will go for an early morning game drive. Expect to see Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, Water bucks among others. In the Afternoon visit the bat’s cave, traditional salt works and hunters cave in search of forest Cobras and Pythons. Thereafter return to the lodge for dinner and over night.

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, you will head for Kyambura River Gorge for an extraordinary experience of tracking Chimpanzees. It is so enriching to see the ravishing river valley-home of many bird and butterfly species. We shall take our lunch after tracking before preparing for a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Dinner and Overnight at Mantana tented Camp (High end), Buhoma Homestead (medium end) or Buhoma Community camp (budget)

Day 10: The Gorilla Tour in Bwindi Gorilla Forest
After breakfast go for the gorilla briefing. Tracking gorillas may take 2 to 8 hours. Depending on the location of the Gorillas, one may walk a short or long distance in the Impenetrable Forest. We shall have lunch after seeing the Gorillas and return to Camp. Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 11: Bwindi Gorilla Forest – Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast go for the early morning village walk to have an insight into the traditional lifestyle of the local community. Return for lunch after which depart for Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at Bushara Island Camps or Bunyonyi Overland Camps.

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi Tour
After Breakfast you may choose among the various tour activities with a possibility of going with packed lunch. The various activities include birding, cycling, sun bathing, swimming or even canoeing. Return for Dinner and overnight at the safari lodge.

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park in time for lunch at the lodge. An evening game drive will enable us to see the zebras, topis, elephants, elands, impalas, buffaloes and antelopes among others. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented camp/Mihingo lodge (high end) or Rwonyo campsite (Budget)

Day 14: Wildlife Tour in Lake Mburo National Park – Kampala – Jinja
After breakfast, head for another morning game drive, visit Lake Mburo and return to camp for lunch. After lunch you will transfer to Jinja and visit the source of the River Nile and Bujagali falls. En route you will pass by the Equator to take photographs before reaching Kampala city. On your way to Jinja, pass through the Mabira forest prior to arrival at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort (High end, or the Adrift Nile high Camp (Budget).

DAY 15: Jinja Tour (Bujagali Falls / Fishing Villages)
After breakfast we shall visit Bujagali Falls, the Source of the Nile and a number of fishing villages. After lunch, we shall return to Kampala for Overnight or Transfer to Entebbe International Airport.
